Pre & Post Peel Care
Patients who should not be treated:

- Pregnancy and breast feeding
- Active cold sores or history of herpes simplex
- Skin with open wounds
- Sunburn
- Excessively sensitive skin
- Dermatitis, Eczema or Psoriasis
- Inflammatory rosacea or active acne
- History of allergies
- Rashes or skin reactions
- Sensitive to any of the components of this treatment
- Allergy to salicylate (aspirin)
- If you have taken Roaccutane within the past 6 months
- Treated with chemotherapy or radiation therapy
- Keloid scaring
Six weeks before your peel do not use:

- Retin-A, Renova, Differin (Adapalene 0.1%) Tazorac or any products containing a high dose Vitamin A
One week before your Medik8 peel, don't have the following treatments:
- Electrolysis
- Waxing
- Depilatory creams
- Laser hair removal (two weeks before and after)
24 hours before your Medik8 peel do not use:
- AHA or BHA, or Benzyl peroxide
- Any exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating
The day of your peel:
Cleanse your skin in the morning and do not apply makeup on face other than eyes and lips
After your peel: it is crucial to the health of your skin and the sucess of your peel that these guidelines be followed:

1. Do not use any AHA's or BHA on your skin for 24 hours
2. It is imperative that you use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 and avoid direct sunlight for at least 1 month
3. Patients with hypersensitivity to the sun should take extra precautions to guard against exposure immediately
4. Your skin may be more red than usual for at least 2 hours
5. Please avoid strenuous exercise during this time
6. You may have some peeling or flaky skin for a few days. DO NOT PICK OR PULL THE SKIN.
7. When washing your face, use a gentle sensitive skin cleanser; do not use any harsh scrubs
8. Apply a light moisturiser as often as needed to relieve dryness and tightness
9. Do not have any other facial treatment for at least one week after your peel
