Pre & Post Peel Care

Patients who should not be treated:

​

- If you have not been using AVST Vitamin A moisturiser (3 weeks prior to your appointment)
- Roaccutane (avoid for 6 - 12 months)
- Recent micro dermabrasion, dermabrasion or laser resurfacing treatments (until completely healed)
- Pregnancy
- Diabetes or other major illnesses (GP Consent required)
- Waxing or extractions 10 days before or after peeling
- Pigmentation
- Sun bed users
- Skin diseases (Porphyria)
- Fever blisters (can do treatment but an outbrake can occur)
- On Vitamin A treatments (e.g Tigason)
- Pregnancy
- Radiation treatment

After treatment expect...


- The skin to become dryer for a while then the skin becomes smoother
- Strengthened skin
- Improve natural moisturising factors of this skin
- Improves skin radiance
- Reduces inflammation
- Reduces/prevents breakouts
- Lightens pigmentation (superficial)
- Promotes collagen formation 
- Acne less active
- Refines enlarged pores
- Reduceses redness and scarring
- Kills bacteria to sterilize the skin
- Promotes collagen formation

After Care:

​

- Avoid all sun exposure for a minimum of 7 days
- Apply RAD SPF 15 cream daily
- Avoid exercise for a minimum of 24 hours
- Avoid swimming in chlorinated water for 24 hours (as chemicals could irritate the skin)
- Avoid the use of AHA products for 24 hours
- Do not rub, pick or irritate the skin
- Do not use any Alpha Hydroxy products for 24 hours (normal skin) or 72 hours (sensitive skin)
- Avoid Alpha cream for one week before and after an Environ peel treatment
- Moisturise using AVST Moisturiser adequately day and night
- Avoid applying a lot of make up
